A two-day dharna in front of the Government Secretariat
A two-day dharnawas held in front of the Secretariat on May 15 and 16 under the leadership of AITUC, demanding urgent allocation of funds to protect Supplyco, which controls the price hikes in the public market, and to protect its workers and employees. State General Secretary KP Rajendran inaugurated the dharna. State President TJ Anjalose presided. Secretary Adv. R. Sajilal welcomethe paprticipants and speakers. AITUC leaders submitted a petition to Food Minister GR Anil demanding that the state government should give first consideration to Supplyco and should urgent allocation of the required funds so as to avoid the movement of vested interested parties to destroy this prestigious public sector undertaking.
Tavam Balakrishnan presided over the meeting in connection with the concluding of dharna held on 16th. District President Solomon Vettukad welcomed the gathering. State General Secretary KP Rajendran, Joint Council General Secretary Jayashchandran Kallingal, CP Murali, KV Krishnan, R Prasad, MG Rahul, G Lalu, Adv. R. Sajilal and spoke on the occasion.
A march and dharna was held in front of the Regional Office of Pollution Control Board in protest against the pollution of the River Periyar and consequent massive death of fish culture under the auspicious of Matsya Thozhilali Federation, Ernakulam District Committee on 25 May 2024. C.P.I. District Secretary K.M.Dinakaran inaugurated the event.

Kerala Bar Hotels and Resort Employees Federation (AITUC) State Committee organized one-day dharna in front of the Secretariat, Thiruvananthapuram on 1.6.2024. Protect Abkari Labor Welfare Fund Board, maintain dry day, change the working hours of the bars from 10 am to 10 pm were the demands raised by the agitators. AITUC State President TJ Anjalos inaugurated the dharna. While inaugurating the dharna he said that if there is a move to change in the liquor policy, it should be done only after a discussion with the concerned trade unions. Federation State President K. K. Ashraf, President of Kerala Bar Hotels and Resort Employees Federation chaired. Working President K.S. Indusekharan Nair, Solomon Vettukad, AITUC District President Meenankal Kumar, District Secretary, Rajesh Kavunkal and Ajit Aravind spoke.
08-07-2024 - Kerala Ration Employees Federation (KREF) held march and dharna in front of the Secretariat under the leadership of A ITUC. Minimum wages of Rs.30000 to all employees, disbursement of welfare fund benefits, permanency of all employees were the demands raised by the Federation. C.P. 48-HOUR SATYAGRAHA BY SUPPLYCO EMPLOYEES
On July 29 and 30, Supplyco Workers Federation organized a 48-hour satyagraha in front of the head office, demanding resolution of the crisis in Supplyco and solving the problems of employees and workers on 29th and 30th July 2024. A.I.T.U.C. State President TJ Anjalos inaugurated the Satyagraha. While inaugurating the event, he said that the government has the responsibility to keep Supplyco, which intervenes in the market, firmly in its goal to control the price rise in the open market and to safeguard the interests of the general public as well as its workers. Therefore, the government should interfere immediately to solve the existing financial crisis. KK Ashraf, AITUC State Secretary, Kamala Sadanandan, CPI leader, K. N. Over one lakh workers marched to the government secretariat demanding the withdrawal of labor codes, an end to the discriminatory practices of the Modi government against state governments, and the protection of jobs, wages, and social security benefits. The march was organized as a continuation and successful culmination of two campaign marches held by the AITUC across the state from the 10th to the 17th of December 2024.

The All Kerala Lottery Traders Union organized a protest march to the government secretariat, urging a thorough review of the lottery department's unilateral and unconstitutional decision to raise the face value of tickets from Rs 40 to Rs 50. This move is deemed unfavorable to both the general public and lottery selling agents. The union also demanded action against those responsible for hacking the lottery department's website, as well as a ban on online lottery marketing. Furthermore, they called for a meeting of trade unions to address these pressing issues. The march was inaugurated by C.P.Murali, State Secretary of AITUC. Indusekharan Nair, President, R.Sajilal, Vice-President, V.Balan, General Secretary of the Lottery Traders Union gave leadership to the march and dharna.
