04.07.2024 THE ISSUE OF TRAIN TRAVEL WOES IN KERALA MUST BE ADDRESSED PROMPTLY. The All India Trade Union Congress (AITUC) has called upon the central government to take urgent measures to resolve the challenges faced by railway passengers in the state. Despite Kerala being a significant revenue generator for the railways, basic facilities for passengers are lacking. The state is experiencing unfair treatment in the allocation and approval of new train services. AITUC has demanded that the central government promptly reinstate suspended train services and enhance the availability of general compartments. It is imperative for the central government to take immediate action to address these concerns and ensure a better travel experience for railway passengers in Kerala

24.06.2024 - The Working Committee of AITUC met on 24th June has highlighted the significant crises facing the agriculture and traditional industries sectors in Kerala, such as coir, cashew, plantation, handloom, fish, and toddy tapping, as well as the modern industrial sectors. AITUC urged the government to develop special plans to address these issues and to convene an urgent meeting with labor unions. Welfare Funds for agricultural workers, construction workers, and fishermen are currently experiencing severe financial difficulties. It is imperative that prompt action is taken to collect cess immediately. Additionally, the government's assertion in the High Court that welfare pensions are not a right should be retracted. In response to these challenges, the AITUC has decided to initiate agitations. It has been decided to organize a convention on August 7, 2024 at Ernakulam to decide the course of agitations.

AITUC EXPRESSES CONDOLENCES ON THE KUWAIT FIRE INCIDENT – 13.06.2024. AITUC General Secretary, K.P.Rajendran has expressed profound sorrow and sympathy for the loss of lives of the laborers in the devastating fire at a labor camp in Kuwait. He has urged for a thorough investigation into the causes of the accident and the implementation of essential safety measures to prevent similar incidents in the future. Additionally, he has emphasized the importance of providing compensation of international standards to the families of the deceased and to the workers who were injured in the incident

07.06.2024 - സര്‍ക്കാരിന്‍റെ മദ്യനയം ഏകപക്ഷീയമാകരുത് - സര്‍ക്കാര്‍ പ്രഖ്യാപിക്കുന്ന മദ്യനയം ഏകപക്ഷീയമാകരുതെന്ന് എ.ഐ.ടി.യു.സി സംസ്ഥാന നേതൃത്വയോഗം സര്‍ക്കാരിനോട് ആവശ്യപ്പെട്ടു. കള്ള്-ചെത്ത് വ്യവസായത്തെ സംരക്ഷിയ്ക്കാനും, കൂടുതല്‍ തൊഴില്‍ അവസരങ്ങള്‍ ഈ മേഖലയില്‍ ഉണ്ടാക്കുന്നതിനും കഴിയുന്നവിധത്തില്‍ ആകണം സംസ്ഥാന സര്‍ക്കാരിന്‍റെ മദ്യ നയം. മുന്‍ വര്‍ഷങ്ങളില്‍ സര്‍ക്കാര്‍ പ്രഖ്യാപിച്ച മദ്യനയം കേരളത്തിലെ ഏറ്റവും പ്രമുഖമായ പരമ്പരാഗത വ്യവസായമായ കള്ള് ചെത്ത് വ്യവസായത്തെ സംരക്ഷിയ്ക്കുന്നതായിരുന്നില്ല. ദൂരപരിധി വ്യവസ്ഥ എടുത്ത് കളയാതെ എടുക്കുന്ന ഏത് പരിഷ്ക്കാരവും വ്യവസായത്തെ സംരക്ഷിയ്ക്കുന്നതിന് സഹായകരമല്ല. ടോഡി ബോര്‍ഡ് രൂപീകരിച്ച നടപടി ഏറ്റവും സ്വാഗതാര്‍ഹമാണ്. കള്ള്-ചെത്ത് വ്യവസായ സംരക്ഷണത്തിന് കഴിയുംവിധം പുതിയ മദ്യനയം രൂപീകരിയ്ക്കുന്നതിന് മുമ്പായി ഈ മേഖലയിലെ ട്രേഡ് യൂണിയനുകളുമായി ചര്‍ച്ച ചെയ്യണമെന്നും, സംഘടനകള്‍ ഉന്നയിക്കുന്ന നിര്‍ദ്ദേശങ്ങള്‍ ഗൗരവപൂര്‍വ്വം പരിഗണിയ്ക്കണമെന്നും യോഗം ആവശ്യപ്പെട്ടു.

AITUC congratulates people for standing firm to save the Constitution, rejecting the politics of polarisation and hatred. The dark clouds that were gathering on the Indian democracy, have been cleared by our ordinary people. The people have saved their motherland from the danger of dictatorship and the culture of hatred and polarisation. They have voted to save the constitution, its core values of secular-democracy, right to dissent and freedom of expression, respect to all religions, languages and culture. The AITUC appeals to the working class to continue their battle more vigorously to win back and safeguard our rights, and to fight for the agenda of Farmer-Worker Convention of August 2022 in Delhi in the interest of our nation and the people.

താല്ക്കാലിക ജീവനക്കാരെ സ്ഥിരപ്പെടുത്തണം - താല്ക്കാലിക ജീവനക്കാരായി 10 വർഷം വിവിധ മേഖലകളിൽ ജോലിയെടുക്കുന്ന തൊഴിലാളികളെ സ്ഥിരം ജീവനക്കാരയി അംഗീകരിക്കുവാൻ സർക്കാർ നടപടി സ്വീകരിക്കണമെന്ന് എ.ഐ.ടി.യു.സി.സംസ്ഥാന നേതൃത്വം ആവശ്യപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു. ഡയറി പ്ര്മോട്ടർമാരായും വിമൻ കാറ്റിൽ കയർ വർക്കർമാരായും വർഷങ്ങളായി തുച്ഛ വേതനത്തിൽ ജോലി ചെയ്യുന്ന താല്ക്കാലിക ജീവനക്കാരെ സ്ഥിരപ്പെടുത്തുവാൻ അനുകൂല നടപടി ബന്ധപ്പെട്ട വകുപ്പുകളും സർക്കാരും കൈക്കൊള്ളണമെന്നും യോഗം പ്രമേയത്തിലൂടെ ആവശ്യപ്പെട്ടു.
